    Hey M,

I didn't see your post of 1st November 2010, 00:42 until now. That article is definitely food for thought - how would you feel about writing such an article, or starting a forum thread related to that?

    Hi Yolanda

Your expression on how my friends must have been feeling, puts it very well and thinking back it describes the situation very well.

I would be great to see a topic about how friends react around us, sometimes when we are so deep in ourselves we don't always see what is happening in our friends lives either, this can have a big effect on how they react to us. I wish I'd had your thoughts back then

I'll go to the post now about the food

big hugs to you and keep strong!!!

    Dear Melanie,

{Hug} right back at you, thanks!

I do so understand your comment of being busy, so no worries because of long intervals in between replies. I'm also busy refocusing my energy on making new decor stock, so I'm also scarce in between.

You know, I think people sometimes do not know how to react or what to say when they see someone is in trouble, or have been in trouble (as you stated, when you started talking about your domestic violence.) Their perception is that everything is okay, and they don't have the answers to their own problems, so what do they say to us and our problems?
I do however feel that just being their in a loving way to show support makes a huuuuuge difference to the person who is going through the tough time. So maybe I'll write a little something about this topic! :-) I don't know when, I find that when I have gone through a depression or sadness stint, I easily lose my confidence, and I hide (very close to food, I have to admit!) But ONE day I'll get it, and I will not allow myself to be so addicted to food, and will love my body with gratitude for all that it has survived and what I have harmed it with.

I'm so sorry to hear that you had to go through that experience. I've been there myself, and have realized that it is up to me to change it and to believe that I deserve better - and thought it better to remove myself from those circumstances. Very painful, gut-wrenching process, but certainly worthwhile - particularly in relation to respect and honor to oneself. Now I find that I stand up for myself too quickly and sometimes too harshly, but I will get the balance right. I believe it is better than withdrawing or just allowing things or labels that I do not want to experience in my life.

This weekend a very special friend, Lara, again reminded me of many things that I know, one of which are that we are all goddesses, which I know is true. I had to add that we forget this or we don't believe this of ourselves because of how we have allowed external influences to make us think that we are not, but the fact remains that we ARE still goddesses, all we have to do is to remember and honor that within ourselves.

Love, Warmth, appreciation and another hug to You.

    Yolanda

Thank You Melanie. And glad to tell you in relation to your name meaning - anything but 'dark", the opposite it seems! I used to think that I had many friends, but realized that when the crunch came to the crunch, they all disappeared. The new ones I have in my life, it seems are true friendships.

I'm looking forward to chatting with you more.

    Have a stunning day!

    Hello Rosemary,

Thank you! It is of Greek and Spanish origin, and the meaning of Yolanda is "violet flower". In numerology it denotes that I am a humanitarian! :-)

It is so lovely to at last have another member who interacts with me, so again, a WARM WELCOME to you!

    Peace & Love
